We help prepare documents for recognition of foreign education in Ukraine: clarify your purpose, review the requirements, arrange translation and agree the next steps.

What is nostrification?
Nostrification is commonly used to mean recognition of foreign education for further study or professional activity in Ukraine. The decision is made by a competent authority: Ukraine’s Ministry of Education and Science or a higher education institution within its powers. A university’s decision for study at that institution should not automatically be treated as recognition for every purpose.
The official procedure and responsibilities are described on the Ministry website.
An apostille and recognition serve different purposes
An apostille or legalisation concerns document authentication; recognition concerns the educational qualification. An apostille alone does not replace a recognition decision. If you need to use a Ukrainian diploma abroad, the destination country and receiving institution set the requirements. That is a separate task.
Documents for an initial review
The Ministry’s checklist includes an application, education documents and supplements, properly certified copies and Ukrainian translations, and identity documents. Additional evidence and whether originals must be presented depend on the case.
Before ordering translation or certification, we check the issuing country and year, document type, purpose and selected authority’s requirements. Some documents do not require or are not eligible for this procedure. An old general list of countries cannot replace review of an individual case.
How Apostille Centre can help
- Compare your documents with the requirements and identify missing information.
- Arrange document translation and agree the necessary certification.
- Prepare the document set for submission and agree the available assistance.
- Clarify service costs, official fees and delivery separately.
Our role is document preparation. The competent authority determines the outcome; we cannot guarantee a positive decision or its date in advance.
Where to start
Tell us the issuing country, institution, graduation year, qualification and purpose. Mention whether you have a supplement, translation, apostille or legalisation, and any differences in name spelling. Passwords for government services are not needed for an initial enquiry.
Cost and timing
After an initial review, we agree the scope, price and estimated preparation time. The recognition authority’s processing time depends on document review and any further enquiries.
