Apostille Centre helps arrange consecutive interpreting for individuals and organisations. We have provided legal services since 2008. An interpreter’s availability depends on the language pair, subject, location and date of the meeting.
When you may need an interpreter
- At a business meeting, negotiation or consultation.
- When communicating with an institution or preparing to discuss legal matters.
- In court or at a notary’s office — participation and interpreter requirements should be checked with the relevant institution in advance.
What to tell us before ordering
- The participants’ languages and the direction of interpreting.
- The meeting topic and any specialist terminology.
- The date, time, location, expected duration and number of participants.
- The meeting format and the receiving party’s requirements for the interpreter.
- Whether advance review of materials and written document translation are needed.
In consecutive interpreting, a participant pauses so the interpreter can convey what was said. Allow for these pauses when planning the meeting. Remote participation is discussed separately.
An individual approach
If the meeting involves discrepancies in documents, a complex legal situation or specific institutional requirements, describe the task in advance. We agree on preparation and participation conditions. Interpreting alone does not replace correcting a document or arranging its written translation and certification.
