Apostille Centre helps prepare translations for notarial certification according to the document, language and recipient’s requirements. We have provided legal services since 2008. We agree on the scope of work and preparation process before an order.
What the notary certifies
If a notary knows the relevant languages, the notary may certify the accuracy of the translation. If the notary does not know one of them, a translator prepares the translation and the notary certifies the authenticity of the translator’s signature. The translator provides evidence of their qualifications. These procedures are described in the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice explanation (in Ukrainian).
Notarial certification does not guarantee acceptance abroad. Before preparation, check which translation and form of certification the receiving institution requires.
What to clarify in advance
- The document type, issuing country and place of submission.
- The source and target languages.
- Requirements for the original, copy, attachment of the translation and certification.
- Whether an apostille or legalisation is required, and the order of these stages.
- The correct spelling of names, dates and titles, and any attachments or stamps.
Languages and complex situations
You can enquire about translation into English, German, French, Polish and other languages. We separately confirm the language pair, specialist availability and suitable form of certification.
Tell us before ordering if names are spelled differently, the document contains errors or an institution has returned it. We compare the material with the recipient’s requirements and agree on further preparation. Translation does not replace correcting information in the source document.
Cost and timing
Please call for pricing. After assessing the document, we agree on translation, notarial certification, necessary fees and delivery. Urgent availability and an estimated timeframe are confirmed separately.
